The world’s most expensive kitchen was launched in London last week with a lofty $1.6m price tag attached to it.
Designed by Claudio Celiberti, the kitchen was revealed with the help of celebrity chef Aldo Zilli in One Mayfair this past Friday.
Despite the huge cost, any potential buyer will need to wait up to eight months for their new home improvement fitting because the kitchen is specifically hand crafted.
Dubbed the ‘Fiore di Cristallo’, the design incorporates a $42,000 chandelier, a unique crystal island worth $58,750 and solid copper walls – all moulded with pure crystal of Murano and the finest stone.
Other extras include a fridge priced at $7,960, a wine cabinet for $4,400 and an espresso coffee machine coming in at £2,730.
Chef Zilli praised Celiberti for his interior designing qualities and likened his kitchen to one of his top dishes.
“As far as I am concerned this kitchen, the ‘Fiore di Cristallo,’ to me is the equivalent of a kilo of white truffles on my pasta,” Zilli told the Daily Mail.
“In other words, Claudio has combined innovative design with functionality faultlessly. This is ultimate luxury at its best.”
The kitchen’s surfaces also include copper linings which are intended to fight against harmful microbes and bacteria.
