Wirral Council has given its backing to FINSAHome’s new retail store in Birkenhead which will open in February.

FINSAHome, one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of ‘Do It Yourself’ kitchens and laminate flooring in the UK, will be relocating from its current West Float base in Birkenhead to a bigger and better facility in Ocean Park.

In a move that will further the firm’s ambitious expansions plans, the store will provide customers with the opportunity to browse the latest additions to the FINSAHome showroom.

Commenting on the store’s relocation, the chief executive of Wirral Council, Graham Burgess, said: “This is exciting news for the Borough with Finsa’s relocation and investment very much welcomed.”

Meanwhile, Manuel Castineira, Finsa UK’s financial controller, claimed that the move would put the company ahead of their competitors.

He explained: “This expanding retail business makes Finsa one of the very few furniture manufacturers in Europe who process the whole cycle from managing their own sustainably grown forests to delivering the FINSAHome range of kitchens and laminate flooring direct to the customer’s front door.”

Members of the public will be able to access the new FINSAHome store from next month.

The news follows the launch of FINSAHome’s ecommerce website which was introduced to the net at the end of last year.
